instinctive desires, intentions and goals to be educated,
and each person is an isolated being living within walls of cultural prejudice, delusions, and obsessions.
However, wherever God exists, no matter how fiercely humans compete and complicate life, nature silently embraces life and delivers messages of true life, while modern hearts are closed off by thick walls of desire and obsession, making it difficult for even the slightest current to pass through.
I knock on the window of their hearts.
Just for a moment, look out
at nature—nothing lasts forever.
All that we cling to is dew,
thunder, and the song of bird steps on sand...
Through my work, I contemplate the energy of all things already imprinted in my heart and the life within the freedom that is free from measure, meditate on the impermanence of my mind's work, and
listen to the sounds that resonate from within.
Mirrors are a metaphor for the human mind. Originally, a mirror is an empty beam with nothing.
Just as something appears and disappears only when something is in front of us, our mind
also arises and disappears according to our thoughts when certain situations arise.
In fact, those situations are nothing but fiction.
However, humans do not realize that this is an illusion, crying, laughing, and becoming obsessed.
I paint as if writing poetry.
Just as the words we use have denotion and connotation (the words they refer to and their meanings beyond the language), so too is art.
Beyond color and form as general conceptual transmitters, artists' efforts to convey implicit messages to them are continuously conducted through countless different kinds of experiments.
As long as human history continues, I set the mirror—an unconscious mental activity that can never be defined by anything—as a metaphorical medium within my work, a bridge between the outer and the deeper meaning.
Along with the effects of reflection and contemplation, it also induces fantastic, playful inspiration through illusions.
Fitted in a kaleidoscope structure. As the secular term 'life is a complete journey,' it creates images that are endlessly distorted and intertwined, like an echo of images. (Mainly used in tent structure installation works: Indra's NET and Cloud Village, etc.)
The triangular kaleidoscope structure in the rhombus-shaped (two triangles interlocked vertically) on the canvas slightly differs in angle, symbolizing how the consciousness of each person, though seeing the same thing, is by no means perfectly aligned and producing different outcomes through interference. The three mirror fragments represent three minds. In Eastern philosophy, the number three represents the harmony of heaven, earth, and humanity. Western Perspective Didn't they say that Nald Couspit is a structure aimed at the ultimate pole?)
Setting up a mirror in the landscape. Visual panorama effect? While I also attempted an extended effect by moving according to the angle from which I viewed the work,
I was chased by all kinds of thoughts and judgments in life, and when I suddenly looked at the sky, I recalled Zhuangzi's words: "Heaven sees all things in the universe as one, but humans distinguish them into thousands," and with all distinctions of right and wrong gone, my heart becomes an empty mirror, sinking into nature in a state of selflessness.
The image drawn on a kenbas woven into a box and the image drawn just behind the invisible side are reflected in a mirror standing on the back side of the space, and through the open space (or openable space), they can be integrated, separated, and completed in another way.
These works are trapped in the unconscious, opening up latent memories.
The reason for using wood grain kenvas.
Wood grain is a pattern formed by the cohesion of qi flowing in nature.
Living organisms rely on the energy of the universe to endure birth, aging, sickness, and death, and they carry the traces of these cycles.
