Since I was young, I have been deeply interested in trees and wildflowers. When I became a senior student in elementary school, I received a book called 'Plant Encyclopedia,' and I loved it so much that I never let go of it, carrying it everywhere, and whenever new flowers bloomed or new leaves appeared on trees, I would look at the book and study it alone. I didn't boast about it to anyone; I just felt proud and delighted knowing about the life of those plants. You can picture their beauty, see and smell them, and in spring, when you hold each tree and press your ears close, you can hear the sound of sap flowing. How excited and happy it was. Each tree had a strong and weak sound, and if no tree made any sound, I would often wonder why I might get sick.

I think my behavior stopped around the time I became a college student preparing for college. Then, during the busy years of going to college, working, getting married, and making a living, I occasionally went for walks in botanical gardens and admired flowering trees from abroad, gradually fading my interest in plants. Even when I was 15, in my early adolescence, I was still searching for wildflowers, and I had a boyfriend who liked my taste, but maybe the feeling of love had also started to blossom. I don't even remember that person anymore, but when I see the foothills where mugwort blooms abundantly, those days can be deeply ingrained in my heart. The feelings of loving someone through a girl's sensibility probably never fade, and sometimes they resonate as much as the pounding of water skippers thrown into the stream, and I smile to myself.

Life flows into all kinds of muddy waters, and as the faint, bright, and clear things disappear, I live through the years, and now I'm well over 70...... When asked if he wants to go back to the past, he answered never, a person fed up with the past, and when asked what he would want to be reborn into, he said he only wants to become an impure object like a rock or tree. I deeply felt how painful it was to live as a still being an emotional entity...... For tens of millions of years, I have thought of the rock standing there as great, and whenever I see a tree silently withering its leaves and standing in time with countless years and changing seasons, I always look up to it with reverence. They always wore motherly smiles, and the feeling of comforting me would send a sharp wave of emotion deep into my heart, and at times, tears would flow. For some reason, seeing a type of juniper tree would stir up a strong sense of affection. I was always impressed by the very artistic appearance of the cypress species. When I requested to hike the tough Hallasan, it was because I wanted to see the fir forest. In those harsh conditions, they were teaching me the true nature of life, as if to show me the true nature of life. I heard that most of the trees in that grove now exist as dead trees. Looking at those photos, I wanted to pray for his soul. It looked like I was with fewer days left to gain weight than the days I lived. Recently, I painted a picture on a very large grain canvas of that nearly dead old fir tree, still imbued with the charisma of its entire life, watching the sunset in the distance below the mountain. - Perhaps it should be called my self-portrait.

When I lived in the United States, as Christmas approached, a Christmas tree would be set up in front of Rockefeller Center amid cheerful applause, and it became big news. Back then, there were many articles explaining where and how such a large Korean fir tree was brought from. However, no one claims that the original Korean fir tree originated from Korea. Only the underside of the leaf is silvery, strong, and fragrant, filling your Christmas day with a holy and subtle fragrance. Merry Christmas!! Every year, thousands or even tens of thousands of Christmas trees briefly delight people with their fragrance and decorations before being burned down.

No one calls Abies Koreana by its real name; it is simply an evergreen tree developed through variety development that thrives even in high temperatures. They say the world is already one, but what is there to argue about? Seeing
