Kim stated, “Through wood that I had previously passed by without much thought, I came to realize that the patterns inscribed upon its body were records of an entire lifetime, and I began to commune with the grain of the wood. Using wood grain as my canvas, I record their cosmic epics through the lines and colors that unfold across its surface, seeking through my work to honor their devotion as an eternal resurrection.”
